Families

Last winter I was at a Bertucci’s with my mother and as we went to leave, we stopped at the next table to admire their new baby boys.  I loved the idea of having a session with newborn twins, so I offered my card.  Time flew quickly and she got in touch with me to have a portrait session for her family a few months ago.  At that time, I learned she had twin girls too!  Talk about busy parents!  lol  Needless to say, they aren’t newborns anymore, but boy are they cute!  And their girls are adorable too!

Earlier this summer, we went to Colt State Park for some family shots.  It was a beautiful day and it was a lot of fun shooting in a new location.  Since my girls know them very well (they were in her and her mother’s daycare since birth), we thought that they could come along and help get C to smile.  After about 5 minutes, the girls just played in the area and I got to edit out their shoes and arms from the background when I got home.  So much for that idea!  We still got a bunch of cute shots though, so it all worked out.

This one is my favorite.  So sweet!

This little guy is growing by leaps and bounds!  It never ceases to amaze me how much babies change in their first year.  Below are some favorites from “B”‘s 3 month session.

Alden had just finished the dresser that morning, so of course we had to try it out right away!  lol  I love how they put his name on the bottom.

I’m a sucker for toothless smiles!

Those sweet, chubby baby hands are precious!

We started out at the town beach in Narragansett, however despite the fact that on a normal day it would be clearing out, it got much more crowded…quickly!  Apparently, there was an air show the following day and people turned out in droves to watch them practice.  Needless to say, we didn’t stay long and headed over to Scarborough State Beach instead.  I was so glad we did because not only was there no crowd, but there’s a really cool stone structure we got to “play” with!  I hope they had as much fun as I did!  They were very good sports.  Here are some favorites…

“Look Ma, I’m STANDING!”

After getting married last June, it seems that Tricia and Alden wasted no time starting a family, since they hadn’t even made it to their 1st anniversary before this little guy arrived!  “B” was only days old when I photographed this session in April.  Ever since I found out that Tricia was pregnant, I couldn’t wait to meet him!

It absolutely warms my heart to be a part of Tricia and Alden’s life in this small way.  A couple years ago, I photographed their engagement session, then last year, their wedding.  In February, we had their maternity session and now their son’s newborn session.  To be there for these milestones in their lives is a huge honor and I am thankful to them for helping me live what I feel is my purpose… documenting my clients’  history through photographs, just as I do for my own family.

Congratulations, Tricia and Alden!

I absolutely love this one.

Tricia’s aunt made his adorable hat and blanket.  How sweet!
