So here are some fun party shots from Katie and Loc’s wedding!

Katie’s dad was sweeping the rain off the dance floor, but decided the broom made a better guitar!
It turned into a fun dance between them!

Loc and his friend made a go of trying to sing karaoke to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire”
Perhaps they should have the monitor with the words!

“Don’t stop believin’!”
Guess the song…. (answer below)
All I can think of is Night at the Roxy…

Suspenders are fun

I do believe this was a Michael Jackson song
Somebody was a bad boy…
…a very bad boy!

Congratulations, Katie and Loc!
Answer: Sweet Caroline during the “touching me, touching you” part.

Katie and Loc were married at Our Lady of the Cape church. Despite a bit of a hold-up at the hair salon, she was able to have her make-up done (gorgeous job, Lisa!) and get dressed in record time. I was quite impressed! Both families headed to the church to do most of the formals prior to the ceremony. This allowed them to do some fun shots at the beach with the bridal party after the ceremony and then spend more time relaxing at the reception. It worked out beautifully! Wish I could do that more often.
Loc’s parents hosted the reception in their backyard. It was a gorgeous location! Thankfully they had tents because despite the beautiful weather earlier, thundershowers came rolling in around the time the dancing started. If it had to rain, that was pretty good timing!
Everyone had a blast (including us!) and it warmed my heart to see how easily both sides of the family mingled and danced with each other. Here are a few images from the day. Part II will have some fun dancing photos.

Interesting microphone. You’ll be seeing a lot more of these two in the next installment!

I had the pleasure of working with Tricia and Alden almost exactly a year ago for their engagement portraits, so I was very much looking forward to their wedding. The ceremony also happened to be at Holy Family Church in Rockland, where I went to Catholic school for a year or two, so it was interesting to see the area I used to play at recess as I carried my equipment into the church.
Their reception was at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston where everyone in attendance seemed to be having a blast. Here are a few shots of the day…
Congratulations to Tricia and Alden!

This proved to be, well, not the best idea…
Thank the Lord he didn’t go commando!

I see I’m not the only shutterbug!

Two thumbs up for the honeymoon!

Recently, I had a portrait session with the McElwain family. They were so sweet and great to work with! I loved how they included their pets in the session as well, being a dog lover myself. Here are some favorites…

“What do you want, lady?”
Such a soulful look.
I loved how their cat took over the dog bed and just curled right up!
What a cutie!

Doesn’t she look gorgeous?
Isn’t it funny how kids can “give you attitude” on demand like that? hee hee
Some friends came over during the session
The three amigos.
